Amanda Selvaratnam has taken over as the new Chair of the PraxisAuril Board

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Amanda Selvaratnam as the new Chair of the PraxisAuril Board, taking over from Iain Thomas. Amanda's extensive experience in technology transfer and innovation makes her a valuable addition to our team. She is no stranger to the PraxisAuril community, having served as a Board member for several years, which enabled her to develop a deep understanding of PraxisAuril’s goals and objectives. Her dedication to helping organisations across the world develop sustainable and productive commercial and research partnerships with UK universities and colleges has made her a respected figure in the knowledge exchange landscape.

Amanda Selvaratnam said:

"I have been a part of the Praxis Auril community for over 20 years and am delighted and honoured to be taking on the role of Chair. I’m really passionate about PraxisAuril and the role it plays in supporting the knowledge exchange community not only in areas such as professional development but also in bringing together different voices and agencies to both capitalise on the wealth of opportunities and promoting the power of knowledge exchange to tackle some of the key challenges we are facing around the globe. It is a real privilege to take on the role, and I look forward to working with the Board and our new CEO Stuart Wilkinson”

PraxisAuril, the UK's professional association for Knowledge Exchange practitioners, plays a crucial role in facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology from academia to the wider economy. The organisation helps to bring new innovations and solutions from the academic world to the wider community, fostering collaboration and making sure that valuable ideas don't just stay in the lab but have a real-world impact.

The newly appointed Chair is set to lead the PraxisAuril Board in implementing innovative initiatives and addressing emerging challenges in the evolving landscape of knowledge exchange.
