Research England publishes KEF review

Research England has published a report detailing the findings of the review of the first iteration of the Knowledge Exchange Framework. The report brings together the wide variety of feedback that the funder has gathered through the KEF review and sets out proposals for future KEF developments in the short, medium and long term.

Inova acquires IN-PART, matchmaking platform for academia-industry collaboration

Following the recent acquisition of European biotech news media Labiotech, Inova has now acquired IN-PART, a digital matchmaking platform dedicated to academia-industry collaboration. These strategic moves are consolidating Inova’s position as a leader and pioneer in the digitalization of the biopharma partnering space, made possible by the €60 million investment from global private equity firm Carlyle (NASDAQ: CG) and reaffirmation of a strong commitment by NextStage AM in 2021.

Winners of this year’s PraxisAuril KE Awards have been announced across six categories, recognising the achievements in knowledge exchange of both individuals and teams across the UK and internationally. The Awards were once again sponsored by UKRI, the UK’s research and innovation funding body.

Research England has released a report detailing IP-related and commercialisation activities submitted as part of the HE-BCI survey for the academic year 2019/20. It focusses on activities in England but also includes an international comparison with similar data collected in the US by the AUTM for the financial year 2019.
