We currently have an exciting permanent Business Development Manager (BDM) position, within the International Development, Innovation & Business (DIDIB) department. The role will lead on growing commercial business in the Animal Health and research sectors. Involving active business development, key account management, and fostering excellent customer care to expand our reach globally. With a focus on selling biological reagents and proficiency testing schemes, you'll collaborate with distributors, scientific experts, and other stakeholders to maximize opportunities.

This is a high impact outward facing position, you'll be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with clients, distributors, and partners, negotiating contracts. Ensuring sustained profitability within designated markets and effectively analyse information to achieve results. Your strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and industry knowledge will be essential in assessing business opportunities, developing projects, and negotiating contracts. Additionally, you'll play a key role in modifying business strategies to align with market trends and organisational priorities.

We are seeking candidates with a Degree in Biological Sciences, practical laboratory experience, and a proven track record in sales within the veterinary or pharmaceutical industries. Strong communication skills, sales acumen, and a willingness to travel are crucial for success in this role.
