SENIOR ENTERPRISE MANAGER – GRADE 8

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Enterprise Manager (Science & Engineering) - to join our increasingly successful Enterprise Team. The role will be central to the successful delivery of the commercialisation of University IP assets arising primarily from research activities in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

A key function of the Enterprise Team is to support the University's ambitions to maximise opportunities for impact and income generation, including the creation of an enterprising environment and culture within the University and supporting translational funding.

The Enterprise Team is responsible for patent filings and the management of the University's patent portfolio and associated patent budget. The Team evaluates and markets IP and undertakes commercial licensing activities, including post-contract management and royalty distribution. The Team also manages the University's spin-out portfolio and Enterprise Investment Fund, and reporting to the University's Enterprise Board regarding overall performance, company investments and equity realisation.

You should have a degree in a relevant subject area (or relevant professional experience). You will have a track record of IP commercialisation in a related industry or in HE. An additional qualification in business would be advantageous.

You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the team.
