Media Information about the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Cancer Conference

WHAT: The NCRI Cancer Conference is the UK’s major forum showcasing the best British and international cancer research, bringing together 1,500 leading experts from across the world.

WHEN: Sunday 5 November to Wednesday 8 November, 2017

WHERE: BT Convention Centre, Liverpool

STORIES: The NCRI press office will issue press releases about selected presentations in the run up to and during the conference. These will cover a broad selection of subjects including basic science, clinical research, epidemiology, prevention and survivorship. The press releases will be distributed widely, under embargo. All journalists will receive the press releases at the same time - whether or not they are attending the conference.

ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE: All sessions are open to journalists. Please contact the NCRI press office in advance to arrange a press pass, indicating which days you would like to attend.

The conference centre has a media suite with internet access. An ISDN line is also available for broadcast interviews. The press office will be able to arrange one-to-one interviews and short briefings with researchers presenting at the conference.
